Children eagerly await these days not only to dress up, but also to enjoy the <strong>delicious traditional sweets<\/strong> that most represent this occasion: <strong>Chiacchiere di Carnevale<\/strong>\u00a0(enjoy also <a href=\"http:\/\/unochefpergaia.it\/dolci-di-carnevale-golosamente-crema-fritta\/\">Fried Cream<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/unochefpergaia.it\/ricetta-krafen-senza-glutine\/\">Krapfen<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>An important note on the <strong>presence of gluten in<\/strong> <strong>spirits and liqueurs<\/strong>. Susanna Neuhold, Italian Food Area Manager of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.celiachia.it\/\">AIC<\/a>explains: &#8220;EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority, following studies on distillates from cereals containing gluten, confirms that the distillation production process does not lead to the presence of gluten in the finished product, not even by contamination.\u00a0<strong>Pure distillates<\/strong>\u00a0such as cognac, gin, grappa, rum and vodka are therefore permitted.\u00a0<strong>Flavoured distillates<\/strong>, on the other hand, may only be consumed if they are labelled &#8216;gluten free&#8217;. <strong>Wine<\/strong> and sparkling wine are always allowed&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Precisely in order to fully experience the playful atmosphere of carnival events at the table too, I propose my version of <strong>gluten free Chiacchiere di Carneale<\/strong>: light, crispy and for all palates.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Chiacchiere di Carnevale<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><u>55.20g carbohydrates per 100g without icing sugar dusting<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Ingredients for 6 servings<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>350g gluten-free flour mix for bread, brand BiAglut**<\/li>\n<li>40g orange zest and juice<\/li>\n<li>30g sugar<\/li>\n<li>30g cognac or rum (approx. \u00bd shot)<\/li>\n<li>20g softened butter<\/li>\n<li>4 eggs (3 yolks + 1 whole egg)<\/li>\n<li>oil for frying, icing sugar*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>**Ingredients specific for celiacs<\/p>\n<p>*Ingredients whose labels must read \u201cgluten-free\u201d (or, in Italy, present on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.celiachia.it\/dieta-senza-glutine\/il-prontuario-degli-alimenti\/il-prontuario\/\">\u00a0Prontuario AIC<\/a>)<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Preparation of Chiacchiere di Carnevale<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Knead all ingredients together to form a soft dough.
